Social Net

Our society has come to a point where we are losing our sense of interaction with other individuals. Instead, we are focusing on new technologies. Thus, we are locked 24/7 inside an unreal World. Why have we come up to that?

To begin with, we should get to know the meaning of a social network. About.com states social networks are:

Social networks are virtual communities where its users interact with people from different places with whom they share similarities or not.

According to the same site, the first social network dates back to 1995, when a website called ClassMates was born. Since then, it all has evolved into more advanced networks, such as Facebook (2004). Just like About.com stated it, we get to live in a virtual World, which suggests that we tend to hide behind a mask or build a different World from the real one, in which we interact in a different way.

We lie. We build a fake World in which everything is better. It's human nature. We love showing that we are successful and doing better than the rest. Haven't we all shared a picture of our family trip or updated relationship status? We enjoy showing others that we've got something they don't.

Whether this is right or wrong, it's up to you. This is just one of the points we want to make clear: nothing is as it seems, and there are always hidden intentions behind everything. Do you really think fancy brands organize giveaways because they want you to win something? What about sharing a viral video? Don't you think we feel pressured to do so?

All of these will be mentioned in the months to come.

  1. Hola. Saludos.
